Our sausages

€ 5,50 - 500g

Cumberland Sausage
Cumberland is probably the best known of the English regional sausages. It's a thick sausage made from a coarsly ground meat with a spicy flavour featuring predominantly black and white pepper, and mace. (Two large coils of sausage per pack).

€ 5,50 - 500g Lincolnshire Sausage
This sausage takes its flavours from two of the herbs that have been used in Britain for centuries - sage and thyme. A softly spiced but strongly herbed sausage, it gives off a wonderful aroma as soon as you cut into it without it being overpowering. (Approx. 5 sausages per pack)
€ 5,50 - 500g Pork & Leek
A thick pork sausage, pepped up with fresh leeks. Great with creamy mash and onion gravy. (Approx. 5 sausages per pack)
€ 6,00 - 500g Boerewors
A South African icon. It's what every ex-pat South African misses (alongside biltong, of course). A thick pork and beef wors with an open structure and plenty of coriander and pepper, this belongs on every braai. Ours tastes authentic because it is authentic - we import our spices directly from South Africa and make it in the same way we were taught in Cape Town. Baie lekker. (One big sausage per pack)

Our breakfast sausage is made to an Irish recipe. It has a smooth texture and thanks to the high content of lean meat is a little firmer than your usual breakfast sausage. A thin long sausage that's ideal for your Irish or English breakfast. (Approx. 8 sausages per pack)

Pork, Chilli & Fresh Coriander
An old favourite, back on the menu. Made with finely ground pork and chilli, this spicy sausage is finished with fresh coriander and lemon juice to enhance the freshness. (Approx. 8 sausages per pack)

Toulouse Sausages
An old favourite, back again for the barbecue season. A meaty, coarsly ground sausage, flavoured with white wine, garlic and oregano. (Approx. 5 sausages per pack).

Dry Cured Gammon Steaks
Our gammon is dry cured from fresh whole legs of pork, hung to dry in the chiller for a week and then rolled and tied by hand. The steaks are individually vacuum packed, and though we try to offer portions of 200g - 250g it is a natural product and the weight can therefore vary.

Leg of Pork with Crackling
The pork is boned and rolled, and cut in joints of approx. 1500g to 2200g, with the rind left on. You can also order larger pieces up to whole legs of around 7kg if you’re really pushing the boat out!

Dry Cured Ham Joint
Due to popular demand we can now offer our ham joints all year round. Dry cured, then cut and rolled to order, these are available in sizes from 1kg to 7kg.

Joint of Beef
A big piece of tender lean meat with a layer of fat on the outside to keep it nice and moist. We use a cut called "Salmon cut" or "Eye round" which comes in pieces of 2 to 3kg. You can order a whole one or half of one.

Dry cured rindless back bacon
We are proud to announce that we now also make dry cured back bacon in the British style, made from locally reared pork. Available in 250g packs, it is of the quality you have come to expect from sausages.nl

Biltong and Dröewors
Under the name Bushman Biltong we produce biltong and droëwors, two very popular South African snacks. These are selling very well in several outlets as well as online, and it is already the premier biltong in the Netherlands.
